I finally did it!

Wow... I finally did it.

Wasn't a short process.. Pretty long actually. Really takes a lot of energy to be able to support yourself throughout. Especially at times when I had to contort my body in weird positions. Sometimes, it felt so calming. But most of the time, I had great urge to groan and scream sometimes too.

Feels so good now! I can still feel the adrenalin pumping, together with the muscle aches. Don't think it will go away in the next few hours..

Well, I think I'll try again at least for another time in Dec....

Spring cleaning is tiring...

Euthanasia

Euthanasia has been a topic that has been raised lately again. Appearing on papers and tv talkshows. It will appear again when MOH announces any changes to the law or medical directive..

There is the voluntary euthanasia where your consent is seeked. There is also involuntary euthanasia where someone else decides for you if you are not in the state to do so.

Personally, I am against euthanasia. At least the active ones. I'm ok with the current advanced medical directive where one signs that doctors will not take extraordinary measures like putting one on life support to prolong one's life. I guess this is counted as passive euthanasia. Choosing to hold back medication or treatment when one is really really really ill is ok with me too. But I just can't bear to ask the doctor to inject something lethal into me so that I can die.

Sounds scary.. Well, maybe if one is in great pain, one would think differently but it doesn't sound like the way to die. Doesn't seem like much difference from commiting suicide.

DIfferent people have different opinions. Currently, I seem to be the only person in my family who's against euthanasia. =(

1st bday

I feel old.... Went for my first 1st-year old bday party, who is a child of my friend. Been to relatives' parties before. But this time, the parent is the same age as me...

OLD!!!

Hortpark

My 3rd time at Hortpark yesterday, but the 1st time I walked around the whole place...

The 1st time I was there was for company event. Didn't venture any further than the reception area.. 2nd time, I walked a little bit of the front garden then left cause mom found it too hot..

Finally got down to walking the hortpark. Drizzled a little at the start. Thankfully the sun came out after that.. I love flowers all around! If my camera wasn't spoilt, I think I would have taken hundreds of pictures of flowers. Oh well, J became the photographer with his dslr and I was the director... =)

Decided to head for comfort after the hortpark. Got to go back another day to actually walk the rest of the southern ridges.. Hee..

Here's my favourite photo of the day... Flowers were spotted by me cause I liked the 3 different shades of purple. The pro took and spotted the "heart" shape..

marriage

Nono.. I'm not getting married yet. Don't jump to conclusions...

Just realized that within 2-3 years, I know of 2 couples who married cause of shotgun. Both female and males were aged less than 25yr at point of marriage. The gals were actually much younger actually. Anyway, within 1 year of marriage, both girls left the marriage and the kids are left with the husband and his parents.

Moral of story? Don't get married young. And try not to do anything rash so that you won't get yourself into the shotgun situation. Think it is difficult for young girls to be prepared for the marriage, let alone be mothers when they have not fully matured. Quite upsetting to me that the kids have to grow up in a single parent family. Hopefully everything turns out well though.

Oh, and I just heard of a new case. Married man with kids goes to work in china for a period of time and comes back with a mistress. Even more unfortunate that they have a child. Sighz... Why can't these guys just control themselves and think of their wife and kids back at home? Is it really that lonely and so much sexual urge that it is uncontrollable? SHAME to these guys... One short-term positive relief to him, but a long-term negative effect on many..

True blue

I'm a helpful Singaporean... In such times of economic recession, I am doing my best to spur the economy and pump in more money into the market...

So, I took leave and went on an utter shopping spree today!!! 1 BIG bag of stuff back....

Now I feel that I'm in a personal recession.....

My 1st cake!!

I'm so happy!! In 26 years of my life, I have finally successfully baked my first cake, all by my own effort.

It is actually a very simple butter cake. But last time when I tried similar cakes, somehow the temperature wasn't right or the cake stuck to the mold.
Finally! My first cake..

I'm a star!

Went to a fish steamboat shop near Casuarina Curry. Was at a table beside this lighted board of Hongkong scenery. Everthing was fine until it started getting dark after the sun has set...
I realized that I was starting to get really popular, being treated like a famous person. Being watched as I was eating...

LIZARDS!!!!

3 or 4 of them on the board, being attracted by the insects who were attracted by the lights. Arghz.. Just above my table. Keeps climbing down the board where there were more insects. So horrifying! So scared that one would drop/jump down onto our table.

My sis and I were totally freaked out. Finished dinner as fast as possible and ran far far away...

Shall not sit there next time..

mon again

I have no idea what to update on... Let's see...

Went to the Cookie Museum @ Esplanade last friday. First time for me although I've been there previously when it's called V Tea Room. It's really a cookie museum sia. We were drinking our tea when the staff came to introduce and let us test some of their many cookies. They were all so yummy.. I like the rose biscuit although it does resemble a bit of bandung because of the rosey taste... I like a lot of the fruity biscuits too. And their interesting cookies, like the ikan bilis, hae bee hiam. Yes, I'm talking about biscuits/cookies.

Anyway, the cookies ain'y cheap. A box of 24 costs about $35.. Sighz.. So I bought 2 boxes. Brought back a cranberry+mango that's almost gone after 3 days. Then I pre ordered a box of tom yam seafood cookies! Full of tom yam flavour with mini prawns in the cookies. There'll be a mini crab on each cookie as well. Will collect in Dec. =)

After quite a while, OurSecretHaven website is finally up and going.. My dear friend's idea of setting up an online shopping mall. The first shop up features gifts, mainly handmade ones.. Then another friend's clothes shop and another friend's coach bag shop should be joining in too. Well, there's only one person very familiar with html at the moment, so I guess it takes a while to get everything up..

Anyway, there's this xmas card crafting workshop coming up! Can't say that I'm very good at crafting but at least i made some of my own earrings..

Check the website out!
